Squash Summer Camps - 2025

June 9 through August 8

Beginners, intermediate and advanced players are encouraged to take part in the McArthur Squash Center summer camps that are designed to help develop squash-specific skills, movement and knowledge of the game. Camps will include skill work, movement drills match play and games for everyone to enjoy!

This year's camp dates: 

  • June 9-13
  • June 16-20
  • July 7-11
  • July 14-18 (at the STAB squash facility)
  • July 28 -Aug. 1
  • Aug. 4-8

Age Breakdowns & Pricing

  • Mini Squash (Age 4-6): 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a. m. | $125 per week
  • Juniors (Ages 7-15): 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. | $480 per week

Head Squash Pro, Stephen O'Dwyer

Stephen is from County Tipperary, Ireland, and has been playing squash since he was nine years old, playing on junior national teams.

With nearly 15 years of US squash instruction under his belt, Stephen has coached in Greenwich, CT, and was a private coach for a family in New Jersey for three years before coming back to Virginia. Stephen has worked with many top-ranked juniors and watched several develop into collegiate players at top-notch schools, including Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, Princeton, Brown, UVA, Penn, Cornell, Columbia, Williams, George Washington , Trinity, Middlebury and many more.

Along with squash, Stephen has an extensive background playing rugby and was part of the professional system at Munster rugby in Ireland, playing age grade and academy level.

Assistant Squash Pro, Beth Winstanley

Beth Winstanley first represented Wales at age 11, and represented her country under every junior age category. She competed in both individual and team events at the World Junior Women's Squash Championships, and numerous senior and junior European Team championships winning a bronze medal. She also competed and represented Wales as a senior competing as an individual.

Beth has coached in Philadelphia at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy. She had great success coaching the girls varsity team in Division 1 of High School Nationals.

Most recently, Beth coached in Richmond at The Country Club of Virginia and various schools in the area.

Beth has a Bachelor's degree in Sports Science, and a diploma in Sports Massage. She also has her coaching UK level 2 and is CPR certified.
