Pickleball in Charlottesville at Boar's Head

Along with tennis and squash, Boar's Head guests and members have the opportunity to play another racquet sport - pickleball! We like to say that "pickleball is fun for all" because it's truly a sport that any age and skill level can enjoy. With more than 3 million players in the country, pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the country so come out and enjoy the fun.

Boar's Head Courts & Rates

The Sports Club at Boar’s Head Resort is a mecca for pickleball enthusiasts. Boasting six dedicated outdoor courts with breathtaking views, the club also features six permanently lined indoor courts on tennis courts 1-3. We also have paddles and balls that can be checked out at the McArthur Squash Center welcome desk.

Head Pro, Reagan

Reagan has worked at Boar's Head for over three years as a childcare provider. Now, he also serves as one of our pickleball professionals. Reagan aims to provide a wonderful pickleball experience for members and resort guests.

Many of you know George from his fantastic instruction on the tennis courts, but did you know that he is also a certified pickleball instructor? George will bring the same expertise on the pickleball court as we've all come to trust on the tennis courts.

Dedicated Courts

Members and hotel guests can take advantage of six dedicated pickleball courts at The Sports Club. These courts are continuously used to promote the sport through tournaments, clinics and open play sessions.

Players can book a court time or clinic through the Sports Club front desk.

Stay and Play

Our pickleball court time and clinics are open to all hotel guest and Boar's Head Resort members. Hotel guests will enjoy mingling and playing with our local players during clinics, or you can book your own court time through our Sports Club front desk staff. Pickleball Clinics

Our clinics cater to ALL player levels and feature various paced feeding drills using the entire court to improve stroke production and competitive ability. Many drills focus on the third shot (arguably the most important shot in pickleball), stacking, movement and other aspects of the competitive game.
